projections on Galveston real estate market?

Does anyone have an idea of what the Galveston Market is doing? I have a house on the island that did not have damage and will put it back on the market. However, I wasn’t sure if I should rent for 6 months or just try to sell

I visited New Orleans a short while after Katrina. My Real Estate friends there said they were having a hard time closing deals because no insurance companies were writing policies and you could not get a mortgage without an insurance policy.

I don’t know what it is like in Galveston. But if you don’t want the house I would sell it for whatever I could get. There is bound to be a shortage and people probably feel like your house will also make it thru the next one.
