Block House Creek is a large neighborhood in Leander located on Highway 183 between New Hope Drive and Crystal Falls Parkway. Houses here were built from the early 1980’s through the early 2000’s and range widely from 1100 square feet to over 34oo square feet. Prices in Block House Creek are very reasonable. There are over 2000 residences located in Block House Creek. Builders included DR Horton, Pulte, Centex and Milburn Homes.
Block House Creek neighborhood is unique in that it has 100 acres of greenbelt and a creek running through it. This creek is home to much wildlife. The neighborhood amenities for Block House Creek include five impressive parks, two swimming pools, tennis courts, baseball fields, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a bike trail and disc golf. Comanche Park is a 4 acre park with a hiking trail. Located in the neighborhood, the Walker House, an historic house built in the 1800’s, can be reserved by Block House Creek residents.

Block House Creek is located in Leander ISD. The acclaimed Block House Creek Elementary is located in the neighborhood.
Because of its easy access to Highway 183, there is much shopping, services, restaurants and more available nearby. The new 183 toll road is also bordering this neighborhood, which can save time commuting or traveling. Austin Capital Metro is currently working on the first commuter rail that will connect Leander to central Austin. Leander has a golf course, a state-of-the-art library and several parks and activities. This is a must-see neighborhood.
