New York Dinner Cruises: Mini Vacations

I longboard and I’m looking for a mini, what board should I get?
I was thinking either an Original Manhattan 27 or a Santa Cruz Landshark 1 or 2. Any suggestions?
P.S. I’m not sure if I’m gonna like mini’s so I want something just to start with and something that is less than $130 just in case I don’t like mini’s.
Hey man.
I’d advise against the Original ’cause their boards are known for being, lets say, “not the best quality for the price”, but their trucks can turn pretty tight which is great when it comes to minis. On the upside, it has a nice kicker which you can probably use to actually ollie over curbs if you take off the risers. Also the Manhattan look a bit big to be a mini. Correct me if I’m wrong.
The Santa Cruz board looks great, I’d definitely choose that one over the Manhattan. But it really depends what you want to use the board for. I have a 24″ Gravity Ben Wei, which is now discontinued. (Too bad, ’cause I’d suggest on getting it as your first mini.) I use it for everything, from doing huge hills to skateparks. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping more than going down a hill on a board that carves so hard you could probably carve around a nickle, haha.
