Ok. We have bought commercial property in Harris County Texas (houston). We got the property suveryed ourselves again so that we me RE-SALE the property..The NEW survey is saying that we have LESS property than we thought we bought from the previous owner. We contacted the Previous owner about it and wanted our money make FROM HIM. BUT HE BLAMES THAT THE SURVEY COMPANY HE USED GAVE HIM A BAD SURVEY. He owes us MONEY?? We can not pin point who actually owes us MONEY. A Lawyer says it is best to take them to small claims court because the court cost and lawyer fees would not be worth it. Thats all of the information we could obtain from him…
What on earth can be done from this point forward? Who owes us for the mistake?
I don’t think anyone owes you money. He sold on good faith and you decided not to survey before you purchased, which is your right, but also your risk.
